Upgraded Developers Tools

Calling all developers, we've got some exciting news! We've reduced the friction of building on Ordergroove with our newly renovated in-product developer tools. To check them out, log into Ordergroove and open the Developers section in My Account.

First up, we've made some improvements to our webhooks configuration page. We've worked hard to upgrade the page so you can now configure up to 10 different targets for Ordergroove events. You can also now fine-tune which events are enabled for each target so you're not overloaded with requests.

Next, we've made some enhancements to our API key functionality. You can now sign the API agreement and self-generate an API key without needing to reach out to Ordergroove's team. We've also made it easier for you to manage your keys, so you can quickly and easily add or revoke access as needed.

We hope you enjoy these upgrades, and can't wait to see what awesome things you'll build!

Downloading reports got a facelift!

Our reports page was due for a makeover; it looked like it was designed the same year CSV spreadsheets came out. With a little paint and a lot of elbow grease:

  • Navigation is simpler
  • Design is in line with other areas of the product
  • Selecting columns (data 📊) for your reports is straightforward

We have a few more improvements planned over the next few weeks, based on your feedback. This includes additional filters and more report types. Thank you for helping make the reporting page easier to use and prettier than ever!

Lock Down Retention with Cohort Metrics!

Retention is tough. To run a successful retention campaign, you need to understand everything about your customers - how many orders they receive, over how many months, with how much revenue spent, before they drop off.

With the new Cohort view, all of the insight you need is pulled into one action-packed analytics tab.

Cohort metrics can be overwhelming with so many different segments and cuts, but our new release makes cohort analysis simpler:

  • Spot trends with our new line graphs and dig into the raw data in our new underlying tables.
  • Compare the impact of your promotions with average metrics across all your cohorts and a breakdown between cohort groups. Toggle between percentages or raw values, subscriber or subscription metrics
  • Expand graphs or download data to analyze within your own systems.

Here’s the best part: the new cohorts tab has already been added to your Analytics page.

 📊 It’s available right now!

For more information, check out “Understanding the Cohort Analytics tab” in our Knowledge Center. The Cohorts view is still in development, and we’d love to hear your feedback. Please direct any questions, comments, or suggestions to data@ordergroove.com.

As always, let us know how your subscription program is performing, and especially if there’s anything you’d like to see in the view as we continue to build out analytics!

Klaviyo Integration - Richer event context is here!

Hey everyone!

We are excited to announce that Ordergroove’s Klaviyo Integration is now even better with improved event data and a new credit card expiration warning event. We’re always striving to improve our products and wanted to share a few enhancements we’ve made to Ordergroove’s Klaviyo Integration.

First, we’ve improved the event data that Ordergroove sends to Klaviyo. This will give you more detailed information about the events you need to build more personalized flows for both marketing and transactional communication. Head over to our knowledge center for the full list of changes.

Second, we’ve added a credit card expiration warning event. This event will help you keep customers’ credit cards up-to-date and avoid payment declines. Set up a flow with the ordergroove.order.credit_card_expiration_warning and track customer making updates by listening to ordergroove.subscription.change_payment.

Finally, we’ve also improved the getting started experience. When you first log into Ordergroove’s Klaviyo Integration, you’ll be guided through a few simple steps to get set up.

We’re always looking for ways to improve Ordergroove’s Klaviyo Integration, and we hope these improvements help you get the most out of our integration. If you have any questions or feedback, please reach out to help@ordergroove.com

Drive LTV with Prepaid Subscriptions!

Increase LTV, offset CAC, and secure revenue up front with Ordergroove’s Prepaid feature. With the release of our Prepaid Beta, you can now give customers the option to prepay for a longer-term subscription in exchange for a deeper discount.

Here's the key:   Prepaid subscriptions are all about increasing the number of successful orders per subscription, so make sure you offer prepaid terms that will boost this number. For example, if you're already getting 4 or 5 orders from your subscribers before they cancel, make sure the prepaid plans you're offering are at least 6 orders in duration.

Also keep in mind: You can start small and test out prepaid with just one product before rolling it out sitewide!

Alpha merchants have already seen a 2X lift in revenue and upwards of 40% of new subscription sign ups as prepaids. The market has spoken, and it’s clear that Prepaid is the latest and greatest innovation in subscription commerce. For a step by step guide on how to set them up, check out the Prepaid hub in our Knowledge Center.

Head over to Subscriptions > Prepaid to request access. If you have any feedback please send it to help@ordergroove.com, we’d love to hear what you think.

Order Metrics, Payment Rejections, and Recovered Revenue, oh my!

Ordergroove has been busy cooking up one of our most requested features - a brand-new analytics tab, hot out of the oven. With the release of our new orders tab (beta), you now have visibility into your order success, rejection & recovery rates!

The orders tab includes top-level key metrics such as:

  • Total and successful orders
  • Rejected orders
  • Retried and recovered orders
  • Recovered $$

You can dig into each of these areas including breakdowns of rejected order reasons, or take action by downloading associated user and order information.

No more guessing as to what order was rejected, and how much revenue was impacted. Best of all, it’s clear how much revenue is automatically recovered! For more details and a breakdown of everything on the orders tab, take a look at our new article in the Knowledge Center.

The new orders tab will be automatically added to your Analytics page. If you have any feedback please send it to help@ordergroove.com, we’d love to hear what you think.

Download and Share your Analytics Charts

Our new analytics charts have been wildly popular to easily monitor program growth, but we heard that it wasn't so easy to share these with others.

We have now made it simple to share with the ability to download any chart as an image or data file!

Check it out by hovering over the top right corner and choosing your preferred method of output.

Happy sharing!

Shopify Shipping Updates

Hey everyone! We wanted to share that we've released two great updates to how we calculate subscription shipping rates on Shopify.

1) Create a Subscriber-Specific delivery profile for your Shopify store

Merchants that want to reward their subscribers with better shipping rates can now do so easily without the use of Shopify Scripts. Without any developer knowledge required, you can easily set rates (including free shipping) that will be used for both initial orders on your store and recurring orders place by Ordergroove.

2) Specify a shipping rate name for recurring orders

For merchants that are setting shipping rates directly in Ordergroove, you can now specify the shipping rate name that Ordergroove uses when placing recurring orders. This is particularly important for merchants leveraging 3rd party logic that relies on the shipping rate name.

For more details on how to set up these features please visit the Knowledge Center.
