Download and Share your Analytics Charts

Our new analytics charts have been wildly popular to easily monitor program growth, but we heard that it wasn't so easy to share these with others.

We have now made it simple to share with the ability to download any chart as an image or data file!

Check it out by hovering over the top right corner and choosing your preferred method of output.

Happy sharing!

Shopify Shipping Updates

Hey everyone! We wanted to share that we've released two great updates to how we calculate subscription shipping rates on Shopify.

1) Create a Subscriber-Specific delivery profile for your Shopify store

Merchants that want to reward their subscribers with better shipping rates can now do so easily without the use of Shopify Scripts. Without any developer knowledge required, you can easily set rates (including free shipping) that will be used for both initial orders on your store and recurring orders place by Ordergroove.

2) Specify a shipping rate name for recurring orders

For merchants that are setting shipping rates directly in Ordergroove, you can now specify the shipping rate name that Ordergroove uses when placing recurring orders. This is particularly important for merchants leveraging 3rd party logic that relies on the shipping rate name.

For more details on how to set up these features please visit the Knowledge Center.

Cart Opt-In Now Available on All Platforms!

Offering customers the ability to opt-in to subscription on the cart page can dramatically improve your enrollment rate (up to 3x)! All merchants on all eCommerce platforms can now take advantage of this feature. If you're on Shopify, this is available to you for the first time and you've been auto-provisioned with a new cart template. Head on over to https://rc3.ordergroove.com/subscriptions/enrollment/home/ and style your new offer.

From there, we've embedded instructions on how to update your Shopify theme with the proper tagging. If you're on a non-Shopify platform you likely already have this tagging in place, but reach out to your Ordergroove team if you have questions.

Coming soon... visibility into which of your offer locations are driving the majority of your enrollments 👀

Update Subscription Price and Discount from RC3

Two of our most requested features are now available in the Customers tab of RC3. All merchants can now adjust the automatic discount associated with a subscription by using the dropdown menu when viewing the subscription details. Merchants with price locking enabled can also adjust the price of a subscription from this screen.

Please note that with price locked subscriptions the price of the subscription will not be updated when the product price changes. If you are not currently using price locking and would like to, please reach out to your Ordergroove team for assistance.

Nudge skipping order in cancellation flow to help reduce churn

The majority of cancellations come from customers feeling overstocked or having too much product. Many customers don't realize that they can skip their upcoming order and instead end up canceling their subscription. To help retain customers on behalf of our merchants, we released an SMI cancel flow feature to help nudge customers to consider skipping their upcoming order instead of canceling. If a customer selects to skip their upcoming order, the order will ship depending on the frequency their subscription is set at (ie April 15th customer clicks ‘skip order’ for their order arriving April 22nd, and their frequency is 1 month, it would skip to May 22nd.)

All new merchants will receive this feature out of the box with their default SMI, and all existing merchants who have not saved any changes to their default SMI will also receive this feature without needing to do anything.

Merchants who have saved changes to their SMI and want this feature can follow this documentation to implement it in their RC3 SMI code editor.

Below is the modal added to the default SMI when a customer selects Cancel Subscription. If they select "Skip Next Delivery" their order date will automatically update to the next date according to their subscription frequency and the modal will close.

If the customer selects to continue to cancel their subscription they will be taken to the select cancel reason/confirmation page shown below.

Let's retain some customers!

Hassle-free styling for enrollment offers

Now when you visit the Subscriptions > Enrollment page within RC3 you will see a new and improved Offers configuration experience. We've made some changes so that it is now easier than ever to configure your offers enrollment experience. This includes design updates to the RC3 interface and access to pre-built templates for quick styling of offers on the PDP, checkout, and more. This is available today to all merchants, no matter the ecomm platform.

Product Config files now have names you can understand

Now whenever you download your product config file within RC3 they will be named something a little more digestible. Though  "Products_Export_20220815_16da1ec7d64b4fe5fbc3809cd8cc74bf63105467" was definitely a statement, it was especially confusing for merchants managing multiple brands or those downloading multiple product config files. Now when you download a file you will see something closer to "MySockCompany_ProductsExport_2022_08_15". RIP to the 800 character file name, you won't be missed.

SKU Swap now displays in SMI for out of stock products

Previously, the SKU swap ("Change Product") button was only visible to customers within their SMI if the product they were subscribing to was both in stock and SKU swap eligible. This isn't helpful if their product is out of stock and the customer would still like to receive their subscription. We've updated the SMI so that now the SKU swap button will display whether the product they are subscribing to is in or out of stock. This way customers can swap to another flavor/variant when their subscribed to product goes out of stock and keep their subscription going!

Analytics 3.0 - New Exports

As part of the Analytics 3.0 release, we have revamped our exports experience around downloading subscriptions and order report data.

Improvements to the export section include:

  • Visibility into the progress and status of an exported report
  • New functionality to export created and updated subscriptions with new fields for updated date and time.
  • Automatic downloads directly when the report completes generation.

Expect to see these upcoming changes soon and for those that are interested in making this switch early, please reach out to your Ordergroove contact or to Rivkah directly at rivkah.carl@ordergroove.com
